NFT and Seltzer come hard with Happy Dad
Happy Dad, a Californian-based hard seltzer producer, has unleashed its limited edition banana-flavored carbonated drinks. The new packaging features the popular non-fungible token (NFT) from the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection.
In an August 11 announcement, Happy Dad confirmed the debut of its banana-flavored hard seltzer. Happy Dad is the first hard seltzer brand to unleash an NFT-based product in the alcoholic retail market.
Founded in June 2021, Happy Dad is a hard seltzer retail producer operating out of Orange County, California. Happy Dad will produce a 12-can pack with only 10,000 cases on the market. This figure reflects the NFT community, as many NFT communities sell only 10,000 NFTs.
The banana-flavored Happy Dad hard seltzer features Bored Ape #8928, which has the following traits:
Yellow Background: 13% of Apes
Bone Necklace: 2%
Silver Hoop Earring: 9%
Sleepy Eyes: 8%
Black Fur: 12%
Cowboy Hat: 4%
Grin Mouth: 7%
The Ape was purchased in December 2021 for 59 Ethereum ETH/USD
and is owned by the OpenSea account “happydadnft.”
